What is our understanding of consent? How does it work? When is it needed? What does it look like and when can it be revoked? These are all common questions people have about providing consent to sexual activity. Despite the powerful conversations about sexual assault and harassment that #MeToo and #IBelieveYou campaign has sparked, confusion about what constitutes consent remains. A 2018 survey by the Canadian Women’s Foundation found only 28%  of Canadians know  what consent means, which is a decrease from 2015 of 33%. Join us in taking a closer look at how consent works. It will be an engaging conversation!

Talk Back is a community conversation forum where community members can come together and have an open dialogue on the topic of sexual violence.

There has been so much in the media recently about sexual violence, the impact on those who’ve experienced it, and the need for supports and accountability.

With Talk Back we can begin to understand collectively what needs to be done and how to move forward. Through conversation, coffee and collaboration, we can learn, inspire and motivate each other to create change.
