“Celebrating Older Persons Human Rights”
Let us stand up for Equality, Justice, and Human Dignity December 10, 2018 09:00 am – 3:30 pm Human Rights Day is observed on December 10th of every year. This commemorates the day on which, in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In 1950, the Assembly passed resolution 423 (V), inviting all States and interested organizations to observe 10 December of each year as Human Rights Day. Individuals, institutions and social profits come together to recommit to the principle that, all persons are equal in dignity, rights and responsibilities without regard to race, religious beliefs, colour, gender identity, physical disability, age, ancestry, place of origin, sexual orientation or otherwise.
