Theatre artists from across Alberta will be gathering in Fort McMurray for the 2018 Alberta Drama Festival Association (ADFA) Provincial Festival! The one-act theatre festival will take place at the Keyano Recital Theatre on May 25-26.
All recipients of Outstanding Production from each region will be adjudicated by a professional theatre artist.
Exact times for the festival are subject to change, but the dates are confirmed.
Tickets to be released ASAP and will only be available in limited supply.
Wood Buffalo’s first ever Community Coding conference is taking place this May 26th-27th at Keyano College! Hosted by Youth Computing, BrainSTEM Alliance and the Wood Buffalo Regional Innovation Network, coders of all skill levels are invited to participate in this coding event to learn about technology applications and solve problems in our Wood Buffalo community! On Saturday, teams will participate in workshops to learn code and have fun working together to code a solution. On Sunday they will hear from guest speakers and present what they have learned to panel of judges to win prizes! Food, drinks and snacks will be provided.

Mindfulness Weekend Intensives are designed for individuals who would like to learn skills to reduce stress, become more grounded and enhance their wellbeing through mindfulness.
The weekend will cover teaching and experiential exercises including such themes as body awareness, tolerance of distress and self-compassion.
This group is generously funded by the United Way and is currently being offered at no cost to participants.
Every spring more than 30,000 Canadians come together in their communities to fundraise for and participate in MS Walk. They take a stand against MS and support those who are affected by multiple sclerosis. Take the step and join us as we work to build a more hopeful future for Canadians living with MS.

In this workshop you will learn how to use Miss Mustard Seeds Milk Paint and complete a beautiful project of your choice. You will have the choice between a wine rack, tray or mail organizer. First come first to pick. Workshop cost is $130 per person. This includes all the supplies needed to finish the project.
Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Can’t wait to paint with you!

Workshop Policy: Due to the prep work associated, workshops are non-refundable. We appreciate 48 hours notice to transfer to another date or we will honour a credit. Credit can be in the form of a store credit or used for a future workshop. No shows forfeit their full registration. Registration is not confirmed until full workshop fee has been paid. Spaces are limited to keep it cozy and “hands on.” Workshop may be rescheduled if our minimum attendance is not met. In which case you will be fully refunded.
